The Must-See Environmental Movies Of The Decade

The environment has been at the forefront of pop culture during the 2000's. We'd compile some of the decade's best narrative green films - from scary post-apocalyptic adventures to quirky animated adventures. Check out some of these must-see enviro films, and give a big round of applause for all the attention that the green movement has been getting in the media this decade!




1.The Road.


The Road, an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel, is a tale of survival after the environmental apocalypse.

9 is a Frankenstein-esque movie about what happens when human inventions get out of our hands.

3.  The Day After Tomorrow 
The Day After Tomorrow warns of the effects of global warming in the most frightening way: with collapsing arctic ice and walls of water pummeling New York City. 

4. Wall-E 
Wall-E is an absolutely adorable film about what earth might look like if humans destroy the environment with lotsa junk. 

5. Erin Brockovich 
Erin Brockovich is an excellent true story about the woman who took on PG&E by standing against pollution to protect human health and the environment. 

6. Children Of Men 
Children of Men warns audiences of what could happen if we continue with our globally unsustainable lifestyle. 

7. There Will Be Blood 
The Oscar-winning There Will Be Blood explores an earlier era of today's oil craze.
